Paint correction is a meticulous process of removing defects from your vehicle's clear coat using specialized polishing machines and compounds. Unlike a standard polish, true paint correction eliminates the swirl marks, scratches, oxidation, and water spots that make your paint look dull, rather than just hiding them temporarily.
The result is a flawless, mirror-like finish that looks better than when the car left the showroom. We also recommend following up with ceramic coating to lock in those results for years.

Common Questions
Paint correction effectively removes swirl marks from improper washing, fine scratches in the clear coat, bird dropping etching, water spot staining, oxidation and paint fade, hologram marks left by other detailers, and light buffer trails. It works by gently abrading the clear coat to level out the surface. Deeper scratches that penetrate through the clear coat or into the base coat cannot be corrected by polishing, those require touch-up paint or repainting.
It depends on the condition of your paint. A one-stage polish is a light enhancement that removes minor swirls and adds gloss, good for vehicles in reasonably good shape. A two-stage correction uses a cutting compound to remove heavier defects, then a polishing step to refine the finish. Three-stage is reserved for severely neglected paint with deep oxidation. We assess your paint under specialized lighting during the quote and recommend the right level for your specific car.
A single-stage polish on a small sedan takes 4–6 hours. A full two-stage paint correction on a large SUV can take 8–12 hours. If ceramic coating follows, plan for the service to span one to two full days. We never rush paint correction, proper machine polishing takes time, especially around trim edges, door jambs, and curved body panels.
When done correctly by experienced hands, no. Paint correction removes a tiny, controlled amount of clear coat, typically 1–5 microns, which is well within safe limits for most vehicles. We test paint thickness before starting and monitor throughout the process. What damages clear coat is improper technique, wrong pad/product combos, or working on paint that's already been excessively corrected. Our team uses paint depth gauges to ensure we stay well within safe thickness margins.
Highly recommended. Once your paint is corrected to a perfect, defect-free state, it makes sense to protect that investment with ceramic coating, which locks in the finish and prevents future contamination, swirling, and UV damage. Paint correction without protection means you'll be back in the same situation within a year. Coating immediately after correction is the most efficient approach and what most of our clients choose.
After paint correction, avoid automatic tunnel washes, they'll reintroduce swirl marks within weeks. Hand wash only using the two-bucket method with pH-neutral soap and a clean microfiber mitt. Apply a spray sealant or wax regularly if you skipped ceramic coating. Avoid letting bird droppings, tree sap, or bug splatter sit on the paint, the acids etch quickly in Miami's heat. And park in shade whenever possible to slow UV degradation.
